What is the VisiTax?
VisiTax is the tourist tax created in 2021 by the State of Mexico for all foreign visitors wishing to visit one of the fantastic places in Quintana Roo, such as the tourist site Cozumel, Cancun or Tulum. Visitax Cancun is not applied to children under the age of 4. However, it is mandatory for all foreign travellers over the age of 4 to pay the Quintana Roo tax. Even when travelling for purposes other than tourism such as business, education, health or leisure, the VisiTax must be paid. The tax can be paid before or after the arrival of the visitor in Quintana Roo or during his or her holiday, as the payment is controlled upon the tourist’s return from the Mexican city. VisiTax can be paid at the Cancun airport when leaving the city, but it is preferable to have the tax before the end of the stay to avoid long queues.
What are the processes for paying the VisiTax

For online payment, you will have to fill in a form asking for your name, age, valid e-mail, the date of the end of your stay, and the number of tourists you want to pay VisiTax for.
